Welcome to My Weekly Journal

Week of Jan.24 - Jan.28

This week was a pretty normal week. We had mass, and I thought it was alright, to be honest, it was just like any other mass: quiet, but great. This week passed by really fast, even faster than last week with MLK day. In fact, the MLK school week was actually SUPER long in my opinion. This week I also had Scholastic Bowl until 8, and I got home pretty late and had a physics quiz the very next day. I studied until 10:30, studied for my piano quiz for 10 minutes and then went to bed. All of my other classes were pretty normal, nothing extremely hard to finish up. Hopefully some exciting things come up next week, because I heard there may be a snow day, and thats a first for me in Illinois s far. In Massachusetts I had snow EVERY winter, and it was always a lot. I had many snow days, but the thing is we have to make it all up at the end of the school year anyways, so having less snow days gets us out of school quicker, so thats pretty cool. The vibe of snow days are awesome though. Even if we having virtual class and still have assignments, staying at home is hands down fine with me for a few days.

Week of Feb.21-Feb.25

So far, my week has been pretty good. It was nice that we had Monday off so we have a short school week, and unlike the school week with MLK day, this week has been flying by fast. It's already Thursday, so we got one more day to go before I can finally not worry about school for at least a day. I had a revelation quiz which went alright, and schools boring as usual. Math was fun I guess, because at the moment we are learning about trig, so it's nice. English is not fun in my opinion for various reasons, but I'll talk about that another day. Usually when I get home I play some video games then study for the rest of the day. At the moment my daily schedule is literally the same every day, unless I have Scholastic Bowl. To be honest, Scholastic Bowl sometimes is way too long. Like it ends at 8 PM, and I sleep at 10. I suggest them to maybe make it 6 or 7. Anyways, it's always fun to get back home because I have fun. I talk to my friends from Massachusetts on calls and I can't wait to leave Illinois and go back home. I got ping pong club today before Scholastic Bowl, so I'll try to beat my friends before I got to go. That's all I have to say at the moment.

Week of March 21-March 25

This week has gone by pretty fast. Monday and Tuesday were light and we had an online day on Wednesday because juniors had the SATs. Hopefully everyone did okay in that. I took the SATs before but I only studied for mIath. I got into John Hopkins Talented Youth. Usually when I get home, I finish homeowork and then play video games or something. I found an enjoyment for walking/running outside at night in my neightborhood. It's actually a lot of fun and I try to do it whenever I can. Tomorrow is Friday and schools almost done today. I got no homework. I'm probably going to grind Fortnite because the new season dropped. It's not that bad, but they removed some stuff, but the most crucial thing they removed is building. Removing building has both some pros and cons. FIrst off, te pros are that people can't sweat with building and camp in a box of builds. The cons are that even though we can win easier, this makes the game a little boring. Though, FOrtnite now has a sprint feature which you can use if your sprint bar is full. If you keep sprinting your sprint bar will go down, and you have to wait a few seconds for it to recharge. This is really helpful if a storm is coming, because you can run away from it faster so you dont deal damage. We can still build in other modes like Creative though, we just can't build in the 100 people games, like solos, duos, trios, and squads. I still really enjoy the game, and I also play CSGO. CSGO, alos known as Counter Strike Globel Offensive, is the most basic shooter out there. There are no special abilites or anything like that. There are two teams, the terrorits and counter terrorists. The terrorists have to plant a bomb on eiher A site or B site, and the counter terrorists have to defuse the bomb before time runs out. If the terrorists don't plant the bomb however, the counter terrorists automatically win the game. What I just exmplained was the compettive mode which I usually play, but there are other modes like deathmatch and casual. This is what I play when I get home, and I'll update this next week! Adios.

Week of April 4-April 8

My plans for Holy Week/Easter is probably just going to be staying in my house just going through the day without any expected plans YET. I'll probably take some walks outside or talk to some friends. Of course I'll play video games, and I'll probably to be able to play a bit more because break will be after the PSATs. The PSATS is basically preparing yourself for the SATS, which I'll take in junior year. Because I'm a freshmen though, I'm taking the PSATs. I think I'm ready for it, but I'll still study just in case. The PSATs don't help you get in to colleges, but it helps you prepare for the SATs which do get checked by colleges. I don't really have any plans for Easter so I guess the Top 3 things I'm looking forward too are

So this is what I'm looking forward too. Can't wait for school to end after the PSAT for 5 days. I'll give you an update after break. Adios.
April 11 Question Answered!!

The pronounciation of milk is MIL- then a cuh sound. I am not going to listen to whatever anyone else says. My friends and I had a whole argument about pronunciations of words. I never knew the real pronunciation of aunt is ant, but I always said on-tuh. Looks like I guess I was wrong, but I'm going to keep pronouncing it on-tuh.
