Pixar Animation Studios

Pixar Animation Studios is an American computer animation studio known for it's successful computer animated feature films. It is based in Emeryville, California. In 2006, Disney bought Pixar for 7.4 billion dollars.

Pixar got its start in 1974 when New York Institute of Technology's founder, Alexander Schure, founded the Computer Graphics Lab and recruited computer scientists who shared his ambitions about creating the world's first computer-animated film.

Pixar was successful in making the world's first feature length computer animated film (Toy Story, 1995), and now have released 25 animations.
